This Chakra drum will be made specially for you, so there is a time delay of one month for production.

The Chakra AM Drum is tuned to the Chakra scale, which is C Major in the universal healing frequency of A = 432Hz.

The notes are as follows:  C D E F G A B C  (in the frequency of A=432Hz).

To the ear it will sound like a C Major scale, but it is subtly different due to the 432Hz frequency which will help to align you with the vibrational healing frequency of the universe.

This is our main Chakra scale. If you desire a different Chakra scale, please ask [we know there are some alternative versions used by other sound healers]. There is no extra charge for a different scale/tuning/frequency. For example, 528hz is also possible – upon special request [for no extra charge].

APPEARANCE

Your drum will be painted like the photos, with tongues/notes painted to correspond with particular Chakras (see below for more information) and a golden Om symbol in the centre. The background colour of the drum is bronze and the underside is dark bronze.

POSSIBLE CUSTOMISATION

Personalisation is possible – send us a private message to ask about this, if you’re interested.

As this is custom made, especially for you, you can always ask for some customisation, such as slightly different colours.  For example, the background colour could be different or the Om symbol could be in a different colour.

We might even put another symbol in the centre, if it involves only a simple stencil.

We could also hand-paint someone’s name on the bottom, for an extra special gift.

CAN I PLAY MY AM DRUM BY HAND?

Yes!  AM Drums can be played by hand or with rubber-tipped drum sticks (provided). Playing by hands usually takes a little practise to get the right technique (though some people get it instantly), and it is a quieter, more personal experience. When using sticks, the sound is much louder and clearer, which is great for busking, performance or making recordings.

Chakras, in Hindu and Buddhist belief systems, are centres of Pra?a, life force, or vital energy. Chakras correspond to vital points in the physical body i.e. major plexuses of arteries, veins and nerves.

Weak Chakras can cause problems in all areas of your life, so it is beneficial to try to energize these centres. Alongside meditation, music therapy can also be used to awaken the Chakras, as they have been found to be stimulated by particular sound frequencies.

A steel tongue drum, tuned to the right musical frequencies, would be the perfect companion to meditation and therapy for awakening the Chakras.

AM Drums make a special Chakra drum for this purpose.

Certain musical notes are often associated with individual Chakras of the human body. While there are in excess of 300 Chakras, these are the notes (and colours) believed to awaken the first 7 Chakras. AM Drums have 8 notes. The 8th Chakra is less well known, but helps you to reach the next level in your meditation.

AM Drums are steel tongue drums, otherwise known as hank / tank / slit drums or sometimes idiophones or handpans. They are an alternative to that well-known Swiss steel instrument (that used to cost around 1200 euros, but which is no longer available), but they are not the same. AM Drums are a much more affordable and accessible alternative, yet still have a similar sound and can be used for busking, recordings etc etc.

Ma Rustic has been making steel tongue AM Drums for nearly 10 years and has perfected the art, so that tuning, form and paintwork are all of the finest quality.
